River of Discovery
A feature of the exciting new San Diego River Discovery Center at Grant Park is a beautiful public art feature which captures the history of the San Diego River. The "River of Discovery" is based upon a 1769 letter by Father Juan Crespi. River Rocks will be incorporated into the work to pay tribute to the role the river has played in supplying rock and sand to a growing San Diego.
This beautiful piece will be prominently featured at the south entrance to the Discovery Center.
To support the development of the Discovery Center at Grant Park,
a limited number of commemorative engraved river rocks are now available.
