May 10th 9AM Dog Beach Cleanup
Bring your dog! Help care for Dog Beach. Supplies are provided including dog treats! Meet at the entrance to Dog Beach at the end of Voltaire Street. Host: Friends of Dog Beach and Dog Beach Dog Wash Location
May 10th 9AM Aquatic Adventures at River Mouth
Enjoy a tour of the beautiful estuary and participate in biological monitoring and habitat restoration activities. Great event for kids. Meet at the grassy area adjacent to Dog Beach at the end of Voltaire St. Host: Friends of the San Diego River Mouth Location
May 10th 9AM Dune Habitat Restoration
Help restore native sand dune habitat at the River’s estuary. Tools and supplies provided. Wear long pants and sturdy shoes or boots. Meet on the east end of the access road that runs on the River’s north side. Take Sea World Drive and turn south on South Shores and then left along the River. Host: San Diego Audubon Society Location
May 10th 9AM Santee River Park Cleanup
Volunteers are needed for a river clean up event at Mast Park in Santee. Help us remove litter and debris from this beautiful river park. Volunteers will meet on the grassy area just east of Mast Park’s parking area. gloves and supplies provided. Wear close toed shoes and clothes that you can get dirty. Hosts: The San Diego River Park Foundation and the Friends of Santee’s River Park Location
May 11th 9AM Mission Valley River Clean-Up
Volunteers are needed to help to remove trash and other debris from along the River. Meet at the parking lot just north of the Home Depot on Fairmount Ave near San Diego Mission Road/Twain Ave. Hosts: Friends of 92108 and San Diego River Park Foundation Location
May 17th 9AM Mission Valley River Cleanup at Pacific Highway Revised Date from Printed Program
Help remove trash and paint out graffiti from along the San Diego River. This is a great event for families in a 4 acre area that is being restored. All supplies will be provided. Wear clothes you can get dirty in. Park on Pacific Highway. Host: I Love a Clean San Diego Location
