May 10th 9AM Bike Ride Along the River
Take an enjoyable bike ride from Fashion Valley to Dog Beach (and back!). Ride the future River Trail. Meet at the parking lot across the street from the Fashion Valley Trolley Station. Host: San Diego County Bicycle Coalition Location

May 10th 9AM Mission Valley River Walk
Join Councilmember Donna Frye for an enjoyable walk along the River Trail in Mission Valley. Walk is about 2 miles or continue for a longer walk on your own. Explore one of San Diego’s best kept secrets, the canyons of Tierrasanta. Learn about efforts to restore them and create trail connections to the San Diego River. Option to have lunch at Gaetano's Italian Restaurant, an Italian and pizza restaurant at 10615 Tierrasanta Blvd. Host: Friends of Tierrasanta Canyons. May 11th 9AM Mother’s Day Estuary Walk
Enjoy a moderately paced 3 mile walk on the San Diego River Trail and enjoy the beautiful 330 acre San Diego River Estuary. Meet at the entrance to Dog Beach at the north end of Voltaire Street in Ocean Beach. Bring your mom! Moms bring your kids! Location

May 11th 10AM Eagle Peak Preserve Open House and Tours
Enjoy the spectacular view of the upper San Diego River Gorge. Between 10AM and 2PM explore the San Diego River Park Foundation’s 516 acre Eagle Peak Preserve on your own or take guided tours leaving at 11AM and 1PM. This wildlife preserve was burned in the Witch Fire. See how it is recovering. There are no facilities at the Preserve. Take Highway 79 near Julian to Pine Hills Road. Turn onto Eagle Peak Road. The last 7 miles of Eagle Peak Road is a County maintained dirt road. Look for the signs at the parking area. RSVP's requested. Host: San Diego River Park Foundation Google Map of Location

May 11th 1PM Santa Ysabel Open Space Preserve Hike to the Top of the River
Join in a moderate 6.5 mile hike to find the source of the San Diego River in this beautiful County of San Diego Preserve north of Julian. Elevation change about 300 feet. May 17th 9:30AM Explore a Potential Trail Across Mission Valley
Take a short trolley ride to view the canyons of Normal Heights before hiking to Ruffin Canyon. Explore this trail which is in planning. The trail is envisioned to connect the communities of Normal Heights and Serra Mesa to the San Diego River Park. Meet at the Fenton Trolley Station. Host: Friends of Normal Heights Canyon Location
